2018 injury: Torn Achilles

Emmanuel Sanders was enjoying one of his best seasons as a Bronco, and certainly his best year in the post-Peyton Manning era in 2018 before he suffered a torn Achilles in practice.

Sanders, who turned 32 this offseason, has been posting video updates of his progress in recovery from this injury, and it looks like he has a good chance of being ready at the start of training camp, though he will most likely be somewhat limited as a precaution.

The Broncos had three straight games with 23 or more points (yes, that was significant for last year’s team) in three straight wins before Sanders went down with his injury.

As mentioned in the introduction, the loss of Sanders and Harris at the same time for the Broncos dashed their slim but seemingly real playoff hopes. This team was playing some solid football when these two went down with injuries.

Having Sanders back will be huge for the offense and new quarterback Joe Flacco.
