The entire NFL is saddened by the loss of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, a true legend in pro football. Many teams paid tribute to the late, great owner.

This one’s for you, Pat.

Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen made a profound impact on the entire NFL, not just in the Mile High City.

That impact has not gone unnoticed as many teams around the league paid tribute to one of the great owners in all of professional sports following the news of his passing away at the age of 75.

Pat Bowlen will obviously be revered as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the only unfortunate aspect of that is that it will now be posthumously.

It’s awesome to see so many (18 by my count) different NFL teams make a public statement about Bowlen and what he meant to the NFL.

In a league where teams are always trying to get ahead and owners certainly don’t all have the greatest reputations, the fact that Pat Bowlen was universally liked and respected should be the clearest indicator of his class and character.

Bowlen purchased the Denver Broncos before they were the Denver Broncos as we know them. He implemented and established the culture of winning we all know and love, and did anything and everything in his power to make this team and the league he was part of better.

Not only that, Bowlen made his community a better place.

These statements and graphics made by more than half the NFL are very touching gestures and greatly appreciated by Broncos Country.
