2. Phillip Lindsay, RB

From undrafted free agent to indispensable offensive weapon, Phillip Lindsay’s journey is worthy of all the attention it gets.

He kept getting better and better in his rookie season despite defenses becoming aware of his playmaking ability and the fact that Royce Freeman went down with an injury, leaving Lindsay to take more of the load.

The Broncos have much more than a third-down specialist or end-of-the-roster back in the former Colorado star. They have a budding star at the running back position who appears poised to establish himself among the league’s best in his second season.

Only a wrist injury slowed Lindsay down in his rookie season.

He was the first rookie undrafted free agent to make the Pro Bowl at the running back position. He eclipsed 1,000 yards on the ground and was the Broncos’ most productive offensive player despite not reaching 20 carries in any single game.

As good as Lindsay is, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Royce Freeman competing for a spot on this list in the 2020 offseason.
