The Denver Broncos have some promising young talent on their roster, but what five players are the team’s key building blocks going forward?

The future looks pretty bright for the Denver Broncos.

John Elway nailed the 2018 rookie class and it looks like he hit another home run with the 2019 class, but what if Elway were forced to trim his roster right now down to just five guys to build around?

What if you got to spend a day in his shoes and make that call?

Of course, we love all of the guys on the team, but general managers in the NFL have to make difficult decisions and if we’re putting on our hats and playing armchair GM for a day, how would you make the tough decision to pick five building blocks age 25 and under on this Broncos roster to build a team for the future?

Again, there are some really tough decisions to be made.

That’s a great problem to have if you’re the Broncos, to actually have desirable assets age 25 and under, and to have to make difficult decisions about keeping five of them. It hasn’t always been that way.

This roster has been depleted in the days since Peyton Manning retired, and the draft classes have left something to be desired for quality star power, but the star power is slowly being restored in Denver.

If I had to pick five guys on this team to build around for the future, here are the guys I’m taking.

Disclaimer: This does not mean I want to cut anybody you would personally choose instead. There is more than one good answer here.
