The Denver Broncos are participating in this season’s Hall of Fame game against the Falcons. Three players will stay behind after the game for the ceremony.

The beginning of August is going to be an exciting time to be a Denver Broncos fan. The team will be playing a week early as Denver will participate in the Hall of Fame Game on August 1st. After that game, the Broncos will head home to get ready for their second preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.

But three members of the Denver Broncos defense will be staying in Canton for a special occasion. Chris Harris Jr., Von Miller, and Derek Wolfe will be in attendance for the Hall of Fame ceremony when Pat Bowlen and Champ Bailey are formally enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Those three players are the longest tenured members of the Denver Broncos roster. Harris Jr. and Miller have been with Denver since 2011 while Wolfe joined the team one year later in 2012.

The inductions of Champ Bailey and Pat Bowlen will make seven Denver Broncos that will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. There are four other players that are in the Hall of Fame that played with the Denver Broncos at some point in their careers, but in as members of another team.

Having two more members into the Hall of Fame could very well be the starting point of some players from before I started watching football getting recognition and perhaps one day they will see their busts in Canton.

It might take some time though. We all know how long it took Pat Bowlen to get himself into the Hall of Fame. Hopefully, we will get to see some new Broncos in sooner rather than later.

It is great to see the three members of the Broncos defense, not to mention the longest tenured players, at the ceremony. Perhaps one day, those three guys will be in the Hall of Fame.
