Offensive line: Starting five is finally (all) healthy

Staying healthy was the number one issue for the Broncos’ offensive line in 2018.

Not only did they lose guard Ron Leary early, but the Broncos also lost Matt Paradis midway through the season and were forced to use a motley crew of characters on the offensive line with guys like Billy Turner and Elijah Wilkinson stepping into the starting lineup as needed.

Jared Veldheer also wasn’t healthy all season and forced the Broncos to use more combinations up front than coaches would ever care to do.

That’s why it’s so notable that at the end of OTAs, the Broncos’ full starting five offensive linemen were healthy and on the field for team periods.

That starting five, from left to right, is:

LT: Garett Bolles
LG: Dalton Risner
C: Connor McGovern
RG: Ron Leary
RT: Ja’Wuan James

Leary has been recovering from an Achilles injury and James tweaked his hip working out, but all five of those guys were available at the end of OTAs and all five will be available for the start of training camp.

Praise be.
