One of the most electrifying rookies in 2018, Phillip Lindsay believes that he will be ready to go for Denver Broncos training camp.

As the Denver Broncos mandatory mini camp continues, there is some positive news regarding former undrafted running back Phillip Lindsay. Both Lindsay and Vic Fangio met with the media on Wednesday and provided a big time update.

Fangio said that Phillip Lindsay would be ready to go by the Broncos’ training camp, which is set to begin sometime in mid-July. Lindsay stated that he feels like he is very close to returning.

Lindsay has been dealing with a wrist injury that he suffered on Christmas Eve last season against the Oakland Raiders. The injury forced Denver to shut him down for the season finale against the Chargers.

It appears as if made some solid progress since he was not wearing a brace on that wrist. After today’s session, it appear that things would get a lot better with today’s news. The upcoming second year player feels like he is ready to go.

"“I feel like I’m very close. It’s going to come down to the head coach and our training staff to make the decisions. I trust them and for me, I’m going to be ready when it’s time. That’s it. When they say, ‘It’s time to go. Let’s go today,’ I’ll be ready.” -Phillip Lindsay (via Denver Broncos PR)"

It will be great to have Lindsay back for training camp. He proved to be such a big time play maker once he got onto the field for an extended time. For 2019, the role for Lindsay should be something to monitor.

Because of his abilities, it would not surprise me if he took a lesser carry load in the 2019 season to make sure he stays fresh throughout the year. He could certainly afford it. Royce Freeman should be fully healthy and should serve as the bell cow for the team.

Having a key player on offense ready by training camp is exciting to hear. Hopefully, Broncos Country will get to see more of Phillip Lindsay and what he can bring to the offense in 2019.
