Brendan Langley’s progress

Fangio reiterated what we’ve heard pretty much all offseason about Brendan Langley’s switch to the wide receiver position: He’s very fast.

With that said, Fangio is looking forward to Langley’s speed intersecting with football abilities. Here’s what he had to say about the 2017 third-round pick and his transition and what he’s looking for out of Langley.

"“Just that he can play his position. He obviously can run. Everybody sees that, and we’d like that to be part of the team. But he’s got to become a football player too. That’s a process and he’s working through that.”"

Benjamin Allbright, who was in attendance at the practice, had this to say:

It’s certainly better than no news or bad news. Langley’s transition shouldn’t be expected to be immediate, but there were reports early in the offseason that he was giving guys fits when he would play scout team wide receiver in practices last year.

Langley certainly has big time speed. The Broncos need him to emerge as a receiver and returner if he’s to make the roster, and this minicamp along with training camp when the pads come on will be absolutely huge for him.
