In one of their final road games of the 2019 season, the Denver Broncos travel to the Lone Star State for a late season tilt with the Houston Texans.

In Week 14 of the 2019 season, the Denver Broncos will travel for a rematch with the Houston Texans. In last season’s meeting, the Broncos would suffer a heartbreaking defeat as Brandon McManus missed a 51-yard field goal as time expired that would have won Denver the game. Instead, Houston came out of Denver with a 19-17 win.

Houston was on a roll coming into that game as they used their winning streak at that point to help propel them to the postseason. The win also pulled them closer to the Broncos in the all time series, with Denver leading 4-3.

The Texans will be looking to pull even in the all time series while also hoping to improve on their success last season, which saw them win the division at 11-5. However, their playoff run was halted early, as they were upset by the Indianapolis Colts, their divisional rivals, on Wild Card weekend.

It was a real shame for the Houston Texans and their fans. After a 0-3 start, Houston would win 11 of their final 13 games to qualify for the postseason. To have it end so quickly must have been heartbreaking.

Houston used their 2019 NFL Draft to focus on the defense side of the ball and to improve on the offensive line. They were relatively quiet on the free agency portion of the offseason, but did sign former Bronco Bradley Roby.

This team still has playmakers in Deshawn Watson, DeAndre Hopkins, and J.J. Watt. However, the AFC South could be a strong division this year. In my opinion, I feel as if anyone can win that division, especially with some of the teams acquisitions in the offseason.

Denver will need to be on their toes in this matchup. For all we know, the Texans could be playing for a spot in the postseason come December 8th.
