Chris Harris Jr. got paid and wasted no time getting back into the gym with his teammates. He’s expected at Denver Broncos OTAs on Wednesday.

Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. is back in the fold, and after flying into Denver on Tuesday, why wait to get back to work?

Harris’ return has a massive impact on the team both on and off the field, and he’s set to hit the field with the team on Wednesday but not before a gym sesh with his pal Will Parks.

Parks posted another video on his Instagram page talking about how ‘7 paid the man’ meaning Elway, obviously, and that video showed both Parks and Harris throwing huge medicine balls at a wall doing some core work.

Harris has been working out all offseason, staying in shape and on the ready for this day to come, and the Broncos didn’t want to waste any more time getting him installed in the defensive game plan.

If they are going to make any sort of run in the 2019 season, they needed Harris in the fold and they need the chemistry with their top 11 right away.

Harris being back is great, but it’s also really weird. He posted on his Instagram page that he wants to ‘go out with a bang’ for the fans.

What does that mean other than this is his last year with the team?

That kind of dark cloud lingering over the season is going to become darker and darker if the Broncos don’t have success as a team. Harris will have his unrestricted free agency to look forward to while everyone else is left worrying about their own problems in Denver.

As long as he does his job, what does he care what happens with the rest of the team?

I don’t think Harris is going to be intentionally malicious or anything, but he definitely hates losing and he’s not afraid to be brutally honest with the media about who he feels is to blame, even if the coaches are the ones who deserve the blame.

I like that honesty from Harris but I think it’s pretty obvious based on the history here that this year is going to go a lot better for everyone if the Broncos are winning games.

Next. Second-year players ready to contribute. dark

Not knowing how this ends for the Broncos and Harris — or assuming it ends with Harris playing for another team besides the Broncos — is extremely unsettling, even if Harris is back for the 2019 season.
