Running Back: Khalfani Muhammad

Through his first couple of years in the league, former Cal star Khalfani Muhammad hasn’t been able to stick with any NFL team but that could change with the Denver Broncos.

Like Phillip Lindsay, Muhammad has been forced to overcome a lack of size at the running back position by playing bigger between the tackles and making quick work of defenses when he gets in space.

I’m excited to see what Muhammad can do in the Rich Scangarello offense not just in space with his 4.38 speed, but in the outside zone running game.

He’s not as shifty in space as Phillip Lindsay which is why Lindsay is a Pro Bowl running back already and Muhammad is fighting for a spot, but he can kill defenses with his burst if he can see a hole, plant his foot in the ground, and just go.

I’m excited to see his speed in action.
