In Week Four, the Denver Broncos take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams are looking to rebound after terrible years in 2018.

Both the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars finished well under expectations in 2018. It was even more of a nightmare for the Jaguars, as they went from an appearance in the AFC Championship Game to a 5-11 season. Surprising how things can change from one season to the next, but the Denver Broncos know all about that.

Denver comes home after their contest with the Packers to face off against the Jaguars. Both of these teams played each other just three years ago in Jacksonville. It was Paxton Lynch’s second start, and he was horrible. Luckily, Blake Bortles played even worse.

It was Denver’s defense that helped lead the way to a 20-10 victory, the only win in a Broncos uniform for Paxton Lynch.

How does Jacksonville plan to bounce back from a rough campaign? They went out and won the Nick Foles sweepstakes and signed him to a four year, $88 million dollar deal in free agency. The deal ended the Blake Bortles era as the Jaguars opted to not sign him in free agency. The long time starter signed with the Los Angeles Rams.

Next. Sleepers at every position for the Denver Broncos. dark

With the Nick Foles era underway. the Jaguars will look to keep pace with the rest of the AFC South. It will certainly not be an easy task, but with the balance in offense and defense they selected in the draft, it could help. Their draft was highlighted by their first round selection Josh Allen (the linebacker) and Juwaan Taylor, their second round pick.

There is quite a bit of history between the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jagaurs, especially when it comes to the postseason. There was a huge negative but a revengeful positive. The series as a whole is tied with both teams winning six games. However, Jacksonville has won three of the last five.

But Denver has won the last two meetings, including the one in 2016. Can Denver make it three wins in a row? We shall see on September 29th.
