In Week Three, the Denver Broncos go on the road once again. This time, they travel somewhere they have never won in the team’s history.

In the Denver Broncos’ 60 year history, there is one place that they have never won. Historical Lambeau Field is the sight for Denver’s week three matchup, a contest with the Green Bay Packers.

Denver does not travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin often, but they are still in search of their first win at Lambeau. They have tied once with the Packers on the road, back in 1987. The closest defeat they suffered was back in 1993, where they nearly came back from a 30-7 halftime deficit.

Denver gets another shot. And this matchup will be very even this time around, so hopefully the Broncos can get it done. In the last meeting, the Broncos had their best overall game of the season as they were able to remain undefeated against the previously unbeaten Packers in Denver by a score of 29-10.

In the game, Peyton Manning did not record a touchdown pass, but did record his biggest yardage output of the season in the passing game with 340 yards through the air. Aaron Rodgers was held to only 77 yards passing. At the time, that was a huge deal with how elite Rodgers is.

Last season saw the Packers perform poorly as they finished with a 6-9-1 record. They will look to improve on that under first year head coach Matt LaFleur.

Next. Chris Harris Jr.'s contract situation seems bleak. dark

The offseason did not see much from the Packers. Only an addition of Adrian Amos from the Chicago Bears stuck out to me. In the draft, they focused more on the defensive side of the ball. They drafted Rashan Gary and Darnell Savage, Jr. in the first round.

This will be a very interesting game for both teams. First year head coaches, veteran quarterbacks, and some interest to see how these teams have changed in the last four years.

Lombardi Ave. did an opponent preview of the Denver Broncos if you would like to check it out here. This is one matchup that I am very much looking forward to. Hopefully some history is made.
