6. Signing Kareem Jackson

Entering free agency, the Broncos had a couple of needs in the secondary.

Depending on who you asked, the Broncos needed a starting cornerback or a starting safety more than just about anything else this offseason.

The first move the Broncos made in the free agent negotiating period was to bring in Houston Texans defensive back Kareem Jackson, who has been practicing mostly at safety through OTAs but has also worked in as the nickel at times.

Jackson is listed at the cornerback position but he played just about everywhere for the Texans over the past three years.

The veteran will provide the Broncos a quarterback in the secondary and give Vic Fangio a nice weapon to use all over the formation.
