Denver Broncos rookies Drew Lock and Noah Fant took part in the annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles, CA. Here are some highlights.

Denver Broncos rookies Drew Lock and Noah Fant took part in the NFLPA Rookie Premiere over the weekend, one of the cool events the NFL does every year.

The Rookie Premiere is part of my personal love for the game, as this is the event where rookies gather for a variety of media including trading cards.

If you were like me, you loved collecting trading cards as a kid and I’m sure I’m not the only one who was always targeting rookie cards. Many of the photos used for rookie cards through the years came from the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, and that’s where we saw our first glimpse of first-round pick Noah Fant and second-round pick Drew Lock in their full Broncos attire.

It was as glorious as you could imagine.

If that doesn’t get you pumped about the Broncos’ future, I don’t know what will.

Fant and Lock were also involved in an injury-free airport shuttle crash, which Lock joked wasn’t the hardest he or Fant has been hit before.

They made it to the Premiere just fine, and were able to take part in all of the festivities. Here are some more of the highlights.

The next time we see these guys in their full garb like this will either be for the team’s first preseason game (the NFL’s annual Hall of Fame game) or perhaps some behind the scenes stuff for TV Networks and for the Broncos media.

This event is a cool opportunity to get a first look at a number of rookies around the league, but the big boys and defensive players are significantly under-represented here.

While a player like Easton Stick — the Chargers’ rookie QB out of North Dakota State — is deserving of some publicity after a fantastic college career, why is he being featured but not someone like Jonah Williams? Quinnen Williams?

Where are those guys?

Obviously, the roster for this sort of thing is somewhat limited, but the NFL could do a better job of getting coverage for all position groups.
