Which AFC West team had the best 2019 offseason?

Key Losses

WR Tyrell Williams
CB Jason Verrett

It was a relatively quiet offseason for the Los Angeles Chargers, and continuity is king here.

The Chargers brought in a starting caliber backup quarterback in Tyrod Taylor. They brought in a veteran inside linebacker in Thomas Davis who is still capable of playing at a high level.

Other than that, they didn’t really (have to) do much.

Jerry Tillery and Nasir Adderley will compete for starting jobs right away in this defense.

Hunter Henry returns from injury to replace Antonio Gates.

The secondary, led by second-year player Derwin James, looks really stout despite the loss of the oft-injured Jason Verrett.

Losing Tyrell Williams on offense hurts a bit, but the Chargers have plenty of talent waiting in the wings.

I’m not sure this team did enough to improve the offensive line in the offseason, specifically at right tackle.
