As the ongoing saga between Chris Harris Jr. and the Denver Broncos goes on, the cornerback says he will not be at OTA’s. Denver has no plans to trade him.

The NFL Draft came and went without the Denver Broncos moving Chris Harris Jr. to another team. With the team not drafting a cornerback, it appeared clear that Denver has all the intentions of the world to hold on to the star cornerback.

However, both sides are still trying to figure things out regarding a contract extension. Until that gets figured out, Chris Harris Jr. has no plans to be in attendance when organized team activities start up again on Monday.

Both the Denver Broncos and Chris Harris Jr.’s agent have been talking. However, there has not been any major moves made towards a new contract. But something that could provide some promise is that Mike Klis is reporting that Denver has no plans to trade Chris Harris Jr.

That is good news in hopes that both sides can come to an agreement. And the fact that both the Broncos and Harris’ agent have been talking provides a bit of positivity. But until that contract is presented, both sides agree, and it is signed, it might be some time until any movement is made.

My only hope is that this does not turn into a Le’Veon Bell situation where the player sits out for an extended period of time. Both situations are different as Bell was hit with the franchise tag and never signed it to play the entire 2018 season.

Chris Harris Jr. has one more year left on his deal. But an extension is important to him. Especially seeing how much Xavien Howard got in his new contract.

Hopefully something gets resolved soon. My only hope is that Chris Harris Jr. is making sure that he stays in shape before the 2019 season.
