Jamie Collins, LB

Based on this photo, we know Jamie Collins is still making an impact on football games.

At the age of 29, it’s hard to fathom the former Patriots star who was such a thorn in the Broncos’ side at one point in his career has fallen off the map to where he’s unsigned as of May heading into what should be the prime years of his football career.

Injury limited him to six games in 2017 but Collins found his stride this past season with 104 total tackles, four sacks, a career-high 13 tackles for loss, and four pass breakups.

The Broncos drafted Justin Hollins to do probably the same type of stuff Jamie Collins is good at, so this is where I mentioned earlier the situation of wanting to go with young players and let them develop versus just bringing in an established veteran.

I think Collins is capable of elevating this defense in Denver and can be moved all over the formation. It would be fun to see what Vic Fangio could do incorporating him into the gameplan.
