Su’a Cravens

Cravens has not really lived up to the expectations everybody had when he was acquired via a trade with the Washington Redskins. His inability to stay healthy has been a problem, and when he has seen the field, he has not really stuck out.

However, the Broncos have some solid players at the safety positions and it looks like Cravens may be in the clear… for now at least.

Justin Simmons and Will Parks are probably going to be the starting safeties, with the release of Darian Stewart earlier this offseason. Cravens would be competing for a backup spot, which is not a bad thing. He could still see the field in Vic Fangio’s defense.

The fact that the Broncos opted not to select a safety hints that they are okay with the way that position is. However, Cravens could be fighting for playing time with fellow safety Dymonte Thomas.
