Denver Broncos: Top undrafted free agent targets for 2019
Defense part 2
Saivion Smith, CB, Alabama
Saivion Smith is one of the better tackling corners in the draft, but he may be relegated to special teams only in the NFL.
Hamp Cheevers, CB, Boston College
The Broncos have a history of adding BC defensive backs. I’m sure Cheevers would love to come play with Justin Simmons and Isaac Yiadom.
Blace Brown, CB, Troy
Blace Brown could be a slot corner candidate at the next level. He’s smaller, but he’s sticky.
Mark Fields, CB, Clemson
Fields had a big game in the National Championship vs. Alabama and has explosive speed and athleticism. Typical defensive back worthy of post-draft consideration.
Evan Worthington, S, Colorado
Believe the local ties matter here. Worthington is a big safety who can play in the box, match up against tight ends and running backs, and play the deep free. He should have been selected.
Malik Gant, S, Marshall
Hard-hitting safety prospect who would fit right in with the likes of Jamal Carter and Trey Marshall.
Lukas Denis, S, Boston College
Denis is small for a safety but has excellent ball skills and like Hamp Cheevers would probably love to play with some of his former BC teammates.
