Defense

Carl Granderson, Wyoming; Porter Gustin, USC; Wyatt Ray, Boston College

Number of edge guys here who can come in and try to impress as special teams/rotational depth. All three of these guys would warrant some in-depth scouting as they were all given draftable grades by many analysts.

Te’Von Coney, LB, Notre Dame

High-profile player who was considered a top 10 linebacker in this class by many analysts. He had 123 tackles this past season with 9.5 tackles for loss and four sacks. This guy can fill up a stat sheet.

TJ Edwards, LB, Wisconsin

Hard to believe Edwards is still on the board. Four years of consistent production for the Badgers and is going to come into any NFL camp with a professional mentality. He has 53 college games under his belt.

Drew Lewis, LB, Colorado

You better believe the local connections will put Drew Lewis in line to play for the Broncos. He ran a 4.52 in the 40-yard dash and has the ability to emerge as the coverage linebacker the Broncos need.

Terrill Hanks, LB, New Mexico State

I thought Hanks’ value would be very highly ranked based on his likeness to Darius Leonard, last year’s defensive rookie of the year. He didn’t run well enough to be considered in that category, or even close, but he was productive in every major category for New Mexico State.
