What about other offensive positions?

The Broncos are obvious candidates to take a quarterback in this year’s draft at some point, but what about other offensive positions?

Would they take a tight end with the 10th overall pick? What about an offensive lineman?

Many seem to feel like taking a player like Iowa’s TJ Hockenson with the 10th pick would be a poor use of draft assets, but I disagree. This player is well-rounded, high character, and elite in a few different categories as a prospect already with room to get better.

He would also fill a major need for the Broncos.

The same is true of a player like Dalton Risner, who probably isn’t a top 10 player in this draft class but will be a longtime starter in the league.

If the Broncos want Hockenson, they would probably have to take him at 10 if he’s still there. If they want Risner, they could probably trade down a bit and still get him.

Next. Predominantly Orange's first-round mock draft. dark

Like I alluded to earlier, I could see the Broncos trying to trade down and get both a quarterback and another player in round one who could start this year.
