The new-look offensive line

Mike Munchak came to Denver from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a move that is considered one of the most significant any team made this offseason.

The Broncos’ offensive line was much improved last year, and they’re expecting another major leap this season despite the loss of Matt Paradis to the Carolina Panthers.

From left to right, though, this line needs some depth and the Broncos could use a couple of draft picks to address that.

My guess at the first-team unit for this OTA:

LT: Garett Bolles
LG: Sam Jones
C: Connor McGovern
RG: Elijah Wilkinson
RT: Ja’Wuan James

The Broncos spent big on Ja’Wuan James this offseason and have a former first-round pick in Garett Bolles on the other side for a pair of decent bookend tackles.

Ron Leary is expected back at left guard when he’s fully recovered from injury.

McGovern is expected to be the heir to Paradis’ throne at center on a full-time basis and the right guard position is up for grabs between Jones and Wilkinson, who may be competing this offseason for one roster spot.

The Broncos could use one of their top two or three picks on an interior lineman, or someone like Dalton Risner who can play multiple positions.

This unit will be fascinating to watch.
