The Joe Flacco era begins

Joe Flacco is certainly not a Peyton Manning-caliber quarterback, but he is a veteran Super Bowl champion with a strong reputation.

Flacco’s play has dropped off significantly in the last four years, at least statistically, and that’s why much of Broncos Country is not thrilled about this move.

Denver gave up a fourth-round pick to acquire Flacco and his flexible contract, and many believe he can reclaim the level of play we saw in 2014 when he was coached by Gary Kubiak in Baltimore.

Though it’s early and he doesn’t have Emmanuel Sanders out there at practice just yet, it will be fascinating to see how the players respond to Flacco’s leadership at the quarterback position and how he runs a practice from that perspective.

Flacco’s not the guy in charge, but as the quarterback, he’s the leader of the team.

How will the Broncos wrap around him, even for this early OTA?
