Fifth round (pick one): Alex Bars, IOL, Notre Dame

Alex Bars looked well on his way to becoming a day two/early day three selection before an injury cut short his 2018 season.

One of the team captains at Notre Dame, Bars plays the guard position where Denver has a need for at least depth.

The Broncos right now have a combination of Sam Jones, Elijah Wilkinson, and Connor McGovern at the right guard/center positions. This is my first mock draft where interior offensive line wasn’t addressed before the fourth round, but here we are.

Bars was well coached at Notre Dame and was named a pre-season All-American in 2018 after giving up just one sack all of 2017.

There’s starter potential here if the Broncos can be patient with his health.
