Re-sign Domata Peko?

If the Broncos are unable to secure a defensive lineman they want before the fourth or fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, perhaps the best course of action would be to bring back Domata Peko, as has been rumored.

Peko was a solid run defender for the Broncos and while Vic Fangio doesn’t utilize many strictly two-down defenders, Peko is a high character player who has done his job well in this league for a really long time.

He might be a better fit for a different type of defense but Peko’s presence in the locker room and positivity is worth bringing back for the right price.

The Broncos already brought back Zach Kerr, who can play multiple positions along their defensive line. Could they also entertain the idea of bringing back Peko?

It’s possible. He was still playing at a high level last season.

If they don’t bring back Peko, another option might be to look at someone like Danny Shelton, a guy they tried to trade for not long ago.
