Sixth round: Isaiah Buggs, DL, Alabama

It’s not been John Elway’s brand to take Alabama players in his tenure as Broncos general manager.

Actually, figuring out exactly why Elway has steered clear of most ‘Bama products in recent years would be fascinating to know.

At any rate, every year’s crop of players should be evaluated differently and perhaps in round six, a possible immediate rotational player like Buggs would be attractive to Elway.

Buggs isn’t considered the most explosive lineman in this class, but he has plenty of strength and size, and is versatile enough to do what the Broncos are going to ask of their guys up front defensively.

Get this kid in the room with Bill Kollar and watch him vastly outplay his draft status.
