Fourth round: Connor McGovern, IOL, Penn State

If there’s one pick that would make me ecstatic for more reasons besides the fact that it would be hilarious, it would be the Broncos figuring out a way to get another Connor McGovern for the interior offensive line.

Like the Broncos’ new offensive line coach Mike Munchak, McGovern is a Pennsylvania native and was a versatile weapon for the Nittany Lions’ offensive line.

He could start in the NFL at either guard or center, which leads me to believe there’s a decent chance he will not be available when the Broncos pick in the later portion of round four.

If he’s on the board, he would be an outstanding selection. The only thing with this pick is, I don’t know how the Broncos would be able to wait this long for an interior lineman unless they feel really good about Elijah Wilkinson’s 2018 tape and Sam Jones’ development.

The idea of two Connor McGoverns on the offensive line is more than just hilarious, though. This guy plays right guard and center and that’s exactly where the Broncos’ needs are.
