Third round: JJ Arcega-Whiteside, WR, Stanford

The Broncos have struggled so badly to put points on the board for four years, I don’t care if this pick is overkill.

As a matter of fact, I would strongly encourage this.

Drafting Arcega-Whiteside one round after Noah Fant would certainly give the Broncos a couple of options to feast in the red zone and in jump ball situations.

Imagine having Emmanuel Sanders, Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, Noah Fant, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside available for at least a year in red zone situations.

Though Arcega-Whiteside is not considered a burner, he ran in the 4.4s at the Stanford pro day, has excellent route running skills, and is known for his ability to beat press coverage.

That was something Broncos rookies struggled with last year.

Arcega-Whiteside can move all around the formation and combined with the Fant pick and last year’s receiver picks would give the Broncos a plethora of strong options in the passing game.
