Five AAF players the Denver Broncos should try to sign
Damontre Moore, EDGE, San Diego Fleet
Damontre Moore was the heir to Von Miller’s pass rush throne at Texas A&M, and unfortunately was unable to translate a strong trajectory in college into NFL success.
The Giants, Dolphins, Seahawks, Cowboys, and Raiders all gave Moore a shot at the NFL level but he couldn’t capitalize. Could he do it with a second chance?
Despite the offensive line play in the AAF being quite poor, Moore was a standout off the edge among everyone else.
What do the Broncos need off the edge right now? Depth.
Damontre Moore is still just 26 years old, and perhaps reuniting with Miller would be exactly what he needs to get his NFL career back on track.
39 pressures in six games is nearly seven pressures per game. I don’t care what level of professional football that is, that’s an impressive number.
Aaron Lynch — a projected Broncos target — re-signed with the Chicago Bears. The Broncos can still draft edge help but Moore is young enough that he should get a camp look. I wouldn’t hate it if that shot came with Denver.
