Pick Analysis. Inside Linebacker. Texas. GaryJohnson. 148. player. Scouting Report. 45

Deciding to go with Ed Oliver over the inside linebackers that were in the first round, we finally get around to the inside linebacker position. Why did it take me until the fifth round? I am looking at the current roster this way.

Josey Jewell could be a solid contributor with Brandon Marshall not returning. Jewell is a solid run stopper and was decent in the passing game during his time in Iowa. Therefore, I do not think inside linebacker was going to be a huge factor if the team does not get either Devin Bush or Devin White.

As a way to add some depth, Gary Johnson would be a solid pick here. I see his role as backup and as a special teams player. But his ability to get in between the tackles could be intriguing if he is selected here.
