Depending on how the draft falls, this could be a situation where the Denver Broncos basically go with the best player available. While tight end might not be the biggest need, there is no denying that this selection could be looked at given the injury history of the current tight ends.

Jake Butt has only played in three games for the Denver Broncos since being drafted in 2017. Jeff Heuerman is a solid player, but has also been plagued by injuries. And we do not know what we have in Troy Fumagalli as he sat out all last year due to hernia surgery.

If T.J. Hockenson does fall to the Denver Broncos, it may be too tempting to not take him. And drafting him could spell the end of any of the tight ends currently on the roster. A rare talent from Iowa would just be too much to pass up on depending on the needs.
