Oh look, more trenches! The Denver Broncos have a question with Garett Bolles. That being will he be here after this year? Bolles has been slowly better at tackle and with the addition of Mike Munchak, the expectation is for Bolles to be that first-round pick Denver saw in him.

The best way to still address depth questions is by acquiring a potential replacement. Again, the word potential is a different word that will be. Bolles can prove this out yet. Max Scharping happens to give Denver the versatility they like at both tackle spots. Scharping is capable to play both right and left tackle. We know the question of right tackle is solved long-term.

Scharping does struggle to sustain blocks in the run game and be a factor in pass blocking. However, he’s athletic enough it can cover some of that with the right coaching. Given the state of where Denver is at, Scharping might be the right project to see what you have in him down the road.
