Quarterback. Ole Miss Rebels. Jordan Ta’amu. 148. player. 45.

Quarterback won’t be addressed with the tenth pick this year. It might, but given the recent comment by John Elway, it would be best to find a development player at quarterback as he did with Brock Osweiler and many others. They do just that with the addition Jordan Ta’amu and boy is he a fascinating watch.

Ta’amu has all the tools you really want for a quarterback. The arm, mobility, deep ball presence and capable of throwing from different arm angles. The largest issue is Ta’amu trusts his legs a little too much. After his first read is not there the majority of the time he’s tucking and running. However, it is really hard to ignore the touch he has on the deep ball and his willingness to be good from the pocket. These are all solid traits to have in a great quarterback.

In my opinion, this class of quarterbacks is better than some make it out to be. This is not saying it is better than the 2020 or 2021 class. It does not compare, but there’s talent in the later that is capable of surprising people. Ta’amu is exactly the type of player to take a chance on.
