Linebacker. NC State Wolfpack. Germaine Pratt. 125. player. 45.

The Denver Broncos could have easily addressed linebacker with the tenth pick but seems they might be headed to a different direction. There are a few players after Devin Bush and Devin White to get excited about. In this scenario, Denver selects a player formerly a defensive back. Germaine Pratt is very very quick to the ball. A tremendous sideline to sideline linebacker that does show ability in coverage. It is not to the extent of White or Bush, but it is easy to like the potential of Pratt.

Not sure what a move like this will do for Josey Jewell or Todd Davis, given Pratt’s potential. However, people should not forget Jewell as potential stability there. Pratt just happens to give Denver a strong presence inside at linebacker. One they have been missing for a long time. The depth will be better and the possibility of stronger production is here too.

Converted from free safety, Pratt is not afraid to lay the boom on ball carriers. That’s an enforcer at the position sending a message this defense is not one to be messed with. Pratt also has familiarity with Chubb. Both Chubb and Pratt hail from NC State. Maybe Pratt caught the eye of the scouts from as they watched Chubb’s game tape.
