The offensive line of the Denver Broncos is not terrible like some are making it out to be. However, they lost Matt Paradis in the off-season to the Carolina Panthers. This will move Connor McGovern to center leaving a potential hole at right guard. The impression to me is they love McGovern’s talent at center in this draft. What better way to address right guard than with a Wisconsin Badger.

For the longest time, Wisconsin produces countless offensive linemen with productive careers. Beau Benzschawel presents the versatility to play left or right guard. Given the doubt of Ronald Leary long term, this is a very smart move. Benzschawel has a strong frame and understands well to move piles. He has the talent to be a starter at the next level. The only thing keeping him from getting is consistency. Benzschawel does take interesting angles at times that gets him unbalanced with his position.

Something to keep in mind here is the team does like the idea of Sam Jones for their future. This is obviously before the Mike Munchak addition as offensive line coach. It also would be an impressive haul for the trenches. The three additions of Hockenson, Lawrence and Benzschawel immediately make upfront better on both sides.
