Von Miller breaks Broncos Playoff Record for Sacks

While two and a half sacks may not be a lot, it sure could count in the game of football. This is especially true when it comes down to a big time game against the Patriots with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

In the final two games of the 2016 playoffs for the Denver Broncos, Von Miller really began to show how dominant he can be in a game. During the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots, Von Miller recorded 2.5 sacks and even intercepted Tom Brady.

One of my favorite calls from that game was Dave Logan’s “Von Miller, a Torpedo off the right side of the Patriots offensive line.” And that is exactly what Von Miller’s sack on Tom Brady looked like. A torpedo going straight for the enemy ship and it exploding on contact.

It was a complete defensive effort, but his performance help lead the Denver Broncos to Super Bowl 50.
