Boston College offensive guard Chris Lindstrom, one of the most athletic interior linemen in this year’s draft, will take a pre-draft visit to Denver.

The Denver Broncos have a need at right guard with Matt Paradis heading to the Carolina Panthers and Connor McGovern sliding permanently over to the center position.

Boston College’s Chris Lindstrom could be a possible solution in the 2019 NFL Draft.

According to Darren Wolfson, Lindstrom has a pre-draft visit scheduled with the Broncos, among other teams.

Simply put, Lindstrom is one of the most athletic interior linemen in the entire 2019 class.

He’s also one of a number of players the Broncos could get in the first or second round who could come in and start immediately.

Vic Fangio said the Broncos didn’t want to be in a position to draft for need, and with Elijah Wilkinson and Sam Jones coming back, perhaps Denver doesn’t view right guard as that pressing of a need compared to other areas of the team, but if you ask me, it’s the biggest question mark remaining.

Last year, Denver could have been a landing spot for Quenton Nelson who wound up going sixth overall to the Indianapolis Colts. Unless the Broncos trade down and maneuver around the first-round, I don’t see Dalton Risner or Chris Lindstrom being the pick at 10 overall, but they are very much candidates for the 41st overall pick.

Lindstrom blew people away at the Scouting Combine by running a 4.91 at 308 pounds. The clip in the Tweet above is a great indicator of the kind of movement skills this guy has.

He’s considered the fourth-best interior offensive lineman in this year’s draft by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein.

The Broncos were represented (along with all 31 other teams) at the Boston College pro day, but Mike Munchak wasn’t in attendance.

Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia was, however.

If the Broncos were to draft Lindstrom, he’s a day one plug-and-play at the right guard position. He wouldn’t be a sexy selection, but he has the skills to be a decade long starter and every scouting report I have read says that he is going to be a fit for the zone blocking scheme, which the Broncos are obviously moving to.

In addition to Lindstrom, the Broncos are hosting a variety of other players on pre-draft visits.

QB Drew Lock, QB Dwayne Haskins, TE Josh Oliver, OL Dalton Risner, and DL Dre’Mont Jones are among the reported players taking top 30 visits to the Broncos.
