Third round: Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota

Broncos fans seem to think the decision at linebacker is down to either Devin White or Devin Bush.

It very well could be, but let’s not think the discussion starts and ends with those two guys. As a matter of fact, you don’t even have to go outside the Big Ten where Devin Bush played to find a linebacker who fits what the Broncos want/need at the position.

Blake Cashman, a former walk-on turned team captain at Minnesota, blew up the Scouting Combine with a 4.50 40-yard dash at 6-foot-1, 237 pounds.

This guy has speed, range, coverage ability, and he can knife through the line of scrimmage with the best of them.

Picturing him paired with Josey Jewell? It would be pretty incredible to see.

This guy plays with a chip on his shoulder, and it doesn’t take but a couple of plays to see that. He was very productive this past season with 104 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and five pass breakups.
