1. Flacco is very likable

I guess I don’t know why I was expecting anything otherwise. Perhaps because I have hated Flacco so much over the years for the way he came into Denver in the 2012 playoffs and ended what I felt was the best chance the Broncos had at a Super Bowl in my adult life.

That hatred for Flacco, combined with a large sect of the media anointing him ‘elite’ after his Super Bowl win (which was reflected as a shared opinion by the Ravens when he signed a then-record contract) has tainted my view of him for years.

Listening to him talk in this press conference, it’s obvious this guy is going to be outstanding for the Broncos’ locker room.

I would say John Elway has done a great job of bringing in guys who are likable throughout his tenure as general manager. Case Keenum was similarly impressive last year.

Flacco didn’t say any one particular thing that made me think wow, this guy is really likable but the entirety of his pressure came across very genuine, and none of his answers were canned.
