There has been a lot of talk about the Broncos wanting to bring in Adrian Amos for the fact that he can help install the defense from a player’s perspective, but I don’t know if he’s the best fit to do that.

The Broncos have a much more desperate need at the cornerback position than they do at safety, and Bryce Callahan would kill a couple of birds with one stone.

First of all, Callahan would come to Denver to play the slot, allowing Chris Harris Jr. to play on the outside. That’s something Harris has wanted for a while now.

Second, Callahan would undoubtedly be cheaper than his teammate Adrian Amos, who is expected to be seeking an annual price tag over $9-10 million.

If the Broncos can get Callahan under that price tag, that’s a win. He also fills a more significant need, which is also a win.
