If the Broncos are going to go big at the safety position and are willing to spend upwards of $10 million per season on a guy like Adrian Amos, is familiarity with Amos the only thing preventing them from signing a potentially better player?

Landon Collins has star power on the back end of the defense. He gets a bad rap for his coverage abilities but Collins has been solid in coverage (or elite) every year of his career except 2015, his rookie season.

It’s rare for a player of Collins’ abilities to hit the open market. If the Broncos truly want to upgrade at the safety position, Collins has the ability to make a real splash going forward.

This is a guy who can play in the box, who is physical, but also very natural playing the ball.

He just turned 25 years old, and has a lot of great football ahead of him.
