Golden Tate would be an exceptional choice to bring in as a free agent. He has proven that he is capable of having a solid season as a team’s number one receiver. The Denver Broncos are in need of such.

With the departure of Demaryius Thomas, and Emmanuel Sanders recovering from a torn Achilles, it makes a lot of sense for the team to go after the best wide receiver in this year’s free agency class.

I also feel like the team could benefit from having another veteran wide receiver. After Sanders, the wide receiver room for the Broncos is very, very young. Having multiple wide receivers over the age of 30 isn’t exactly ideal, but when it comes to leadership potential, age and experience are usually the best things.

With Joe Flacco (not officially, yet) on his way to the Mile High City, the combination of him and Tate could be a great one. I think that Flacco would be an upgrade over Matthew Stafford, who was Tate’s quarterback in Detroit with the Lions.

Just three (and four) years ago, Tate was a 1,000-yard receiver for the Lions. He had Russell Wilson as his quarterback for the first four seasons of his career, but never recorded 1,000 yards in a season.

Flacco could be the best quarterback Tate has had since entering the league. Then again, that is a wait-and-see situation, as both would be new to the Denver Broncos and would have to learn a new playbook.
