The Denver Broncos have begun making moves on their in-house free agents as the team has placed a second round tender on RFA Shelby Harris.

One of the big stars of the Denver Broncos massive win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Shelby Harris appears to be staying in Denver for the time being.

According to Troy Renck, the Denver Broncos will be placing a second round tender on their restricted free agent nose tackle. This means that if a team wants to add Harris to their roster, Denver will have a few days to match it.

If they are unable to, the Broncos would receive a second round draft pick from the team that signs him.

Normally, second round tenders mean that the player is more than likely to stay with their team. It is very rare that a team is able to sign a player to an offer sheet if that is placed on him.

Shelby Harris has come up with some huge moments in his Denver career. During the 2017 season, he blocked a field goal attempt to seal a win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

He also recorded, on a broken assignment, an interception of Ben Roethlisberger as the Steelers were looking to tie the game in the final minutes of the Week 12 contest last season.

This is good news for the Denver Broncos as they are looking for defensive tackle help. With the future of Domata Peko in question, there is a shot that Shelby Harris could become the starting nose tackle for Vic Fangio.

Of course, it will come down to what the Denver Broncos are able to do in the draft. But Broncos Country will be excited for Shelby Harris and see if he is able to thrive in the Vic Fangio defense. He already has shown that he can disrupt a play at any given moment.

The pieces are starting to come together. Shelby Harris is likely to stick around a bit longer.
