Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. player. 45. Troy Trojans. Blace Brown. 119

Blace Brown is a terrific read and react cornerback. It’s here where he displays instincts understanding where the wide receivers will go. Brown even has the size and length to match up well. There is just one glaring area he needs to be consistent in to be a solid player.

Brown must turn himself into a physical player. He clearly has it, he just has to harness it and tap into his potential. There’s clearly plenty of upside with him and the combination of Vic Fangio and Ed Donatell can get it out of him.

Because he is a smart player that’s willing to be a sure tackler, one does have to wonder if he’ll be on the radar. He certainly adds ballhawk to his resume. Listen to this staggering stat: Over the past three seasons, Brown has 14 takeaways and 16 passes defended.

One of the strongest parts of his game is the sound technique he displays. His balance in every form of the game is incredible. His eyes following both quarterback and wide receiver while he backpedals is another great trait. Tackling is a trait he must work on, but that is something that’s coachable.

In fact because of his instincts and hit power he can make for a very interesting mid-round pick.
