Denver Broncos seven round post-Combine mock draft

Fifth round (first pick): Porter Gustin, EDGE, USC
This selection was really all about a ‘pick an edge, any edge’ mindset.
Porter Gustin comes from a conference the Broncos really favor heavily (Pac 12) and also has a relentless style about him that could make him successful in the NFL early on in the role the Broncos would have for him.
Paired with Jeff Holland, Gustin would give the Broncos a backup edge who relentlessly pursues the football. He is not an elite playmaker by any means at this point, but this is a guy who is going to drive opponents crazy in the NFL with the type of effort he gives on a play-by-play basis.
He tested exceptionally well at the Scouting Combine and showed off his well-rounded skill-set as an athlete with a 4.69 in the 40-yard dash, 31 bench press reps, and a 35.5-inch vertical jump.
He can contribute as a backup edge rusher and special teams player his rookie season.
