Maxx Williams, Baltimore Ravens

Maxx Williams is really checking off all of the boxes for me as a prospective free agent.

He’s steadily improved over his four years in the league. He has perhaps the highest upside of any tight end in free agency. He’s also a really good run blocker.

He was top 10 in the NFL this past season in that regard, as a matter of fact.

With Williams’ upside as a receiver, his familiarity with Joe Flacco, and the fact that the Broncos are looking for a tight end who can block, he seems like the ideal pickup to me. Though I also like the option of re-signing Jeff Heuerman and finding out if he can live up to his lofty potential, I thought Williams had a much higher ceiling coming out of Minnesota.

The best is yet to come for this guy and I think he would really excel in Rich Scangarello’s offense.
