Denver Broncos met with linebacker Devin White

Projected top-10 pick, LSU linebacker Devin White, has reportedly met with the Denver Broncos.
Linebacker Devin White, who is expected to be gone by the time the Denver Broncos make their selection at the 10th overall pick, has reportedly met with the team.
It would be an exceptional pick if the Broncos were able to take White 10th overall, despite their other glaring needs. Then again, the team apparently won’t be drafting for need.
I personally love White’s knack for finding the football. His awareness is stellar.
Adding him to a linebacking group that already has Von Miller and Bradley Chubb could be absolutely amazing. Miller is strong and fast, while Chubb and White are young guys who will learn the ropes.
Also, think about this: who is the Denver Broncos head coach? He’s the guy who had Khalil Mack and Danny Trevathan last season. I believe Vic Fangio would make White into an instant star. A Pro Bowler.
Here’s the thing though. Yes, the Broncos reportedly will not reach for needed positions. However, depending on who is available at the tenth pick, it seems likelier that they would go in a different direction.
They have bigger needs elsewhere on the roster, such as quarterback, wide receiver, right tackle, and cornerback.
If I had to guess, they would select a cornerback, LSU’s Greedy Williams, before they would select White. It just makes more sense, with Bradley Roby set to test free agency.
Do I expect them to select a linebacker sometime in the 2019 draft? Yes, I do. They can do that in a later round, as well. John Elway has stated that he feels linebacker is one of the strongest positions in the draft this year.

Denver does have multiple linebackers set to become free agents, but they also still have some great players that will be on the 2019 roster.
