Denver Broncos: Tight ends to consider early in the 2019 Draft
3. Caleb Wilson, UCLA Bruins
Wilson is a former high school quarterback turned tight end and freakish athlete who was one of the most dominant tight ends in the Pac 12 this past season.
Wilson caught 60 passes for 965 yards (16.1 per catch) and four touchdowns.
Here are his Scouting Combin measurements:
Hight: 6-4 2/8
Weight: 240
Hand: 9 6/8
Wingspan: 79 4/8
40-yard dash: 4.56
Wilson doesn’t have the type of bulk you look for in an in-line tight end, but he’s got great size, a great wingspan, and big-time speed.
Noah Fant ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 flat, setting an unfair curve for everyone else to be graded on but 4.56 for Wilson is an incredible time.
He’s been steadily improving over the past few seasons at UCLA, and could be that guy to split the seam for the Broncos as a receiver.
