First Round: Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia

I did explain in my first round mock draft that I wanted to go after Greedy Williams. But the Buffalo Bills, who pick before Denver, got to him first. And with limited options, I knew cornerback was a need after Williams and Byron Murphy were already off the board.

I mentioned briefly that I could see Denver trading down and selecting Deandre Baker in the mid-rounds. But seeing as how I could not trade, I went as if I could initiate that trade.

So, I skip on Devin White to go cornerback and draft Deandre Baker. This guy knows how to play coverage on the football field. He would be an excellent compliment to Chris Harris Jr. on the other side of the field.

He has a true ability of being able to make a play on the football as well if a receiver has already caught the pass. He can be a true standout corner on his own.
